April 5, 2018 – (SOLON, Ohio) – Leading laser therapy device manufacturer Multi Radiance Medical (MRM) continues its support of chiropractic education with a laser therapy equipment donation to New York Chiropractic College (NYCC), making MRM a platinum sponsor of the institution.

The donation will be used to expand teaching capabilities in the classroom to better prepare students for clinical practice after graduation.

A previous donation from MRM allowed for laser therapy to be taught in a lecture format, but hands-on training was limited due to the small number of devices available.

Now students will get firsthand experience using super pulsed laser as part of their physiotherapy curriculum, developing the clinical skills needed to start their careers.

“Not only do the students become familiar and comfortable with the use of physiotherapeutic devices on each other and ultimately on their patients, but they also have the devices used on them so they are better able to explain the sensations and desired effects to their patients,” commented Bill Sherwood, Associate Professor, Clinical Chiropractic Sciences.

The recent donation marks eight years of support from MRM to the college and chiropractic education.
